Opening Opportunities 2025
After an incredibly successful fundraising event in 2024 raising over $50,000, join us once again this year and help us ‘open opportunities’ for young people.
Join us at Adelaide Oval, in the Ian McLachlan Room hosted by Ali Clarke. Be inspired by guest speaker Saroo Brierley, whose powerful story of resilience was brought to life in the Oscar-nominated film Lion - engage with industry leaders, and be part of a community dedicated to developing the leaders of tomorrow. This event will be the one networking opportunity you won’t want to miss this year. Your support will help provide talented young people with the resources they need to succeed both academically and professionally.
This event sold out last year so don’t miss out and book early!

Guest Speaker
Saroo Brierley has a remarkable story of loss, determination, resilience and discovery, and his extraordinary life journey inspired the Oscar-nominated film Lion, starring Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman.
At just five years old, Saroo became lost in India after being accidentally separated from his family, surviving alone on the streets of Calcutta before being adopted by an Australian family. He grew up in Hobart, Tasmania, but never stopped longing to reconnect with his roots.
Decades later, through determination and the help of satellite images, he traced his way back to his hometown – leading to a moving reunion with his birth mother that captured hearts worldwide.
His bestselling memoir A Long Way Home and its young readers’ editions continue to inspire readers across the globe. Today, Saroo shares his incredible journey of survival, identity, and the enduring power of family.
